What's Included

A Thorough, Top-to-Bottom Inspection

Our free inspection isn't a quick walk-around. A local AMPCo roofer examines every part of your roof system that affects its performance through Montana's seasons — so you get an accurate picture of its condition and an honest recommendation.

Whether you're noticing a leak, recovering from a storm, or just want peace of mind before winter, the inspection covers the same ground every time.

Shingles & Roofing Surface
Checking for missing, cracked, curling, or granule-worn shingles and overall surface wear.
Flashing & Leak Points
Inspecting flashing around chimneys, vents, and valleys — the most common sources of leaks.
Ice Dam & Ventilation Check
Assessing attic ventilation and insulation for ice dam risk — a major issue in Western Montana winters.
Decking & Structure
Checking for soft spots, sagging, or water damage to the roof deck underneath the surface.
Storm & Hail Damage
Documenting any wind or hail damage with photos — useful for insurance claims if applicable.
Gutters & Drainage
Reviewing gutters, downspouts, and drainage paths to confirm water is moving away from your home properly.

Yes — completely free, every time, with no obligation to hire us afterward. If your roof is in good shape, we'll tell you that. Our goal is an honest assessment, not a sales pitch.
Most inspections take 30–60 minutes depending on the size and complexity of your roof. We'll walk the roof itself and, if helpful, take a look at attic ventilation and insulation from inside.
It's helpful if you're home, especially if we need access to your attic, but it's not required for the exterior roof inspection. We'll coordinate a time that works best for your schedule.
You'll receive a written summary of what we found, including photos. If repairs or replacement are recommended, we'll follow up with a detailed written estimate within 24 hours. If everything looks good, we'll let you know that too.
Get the inspection first. We'll document any damage with photos and notes, which gives you (and your insurance company) a clear picture of what happened. If a claim makes sense, we can help guide you through that process too.
We recommend an inspection at least once a year — ideally before winter — plus after any major storm with high winds or hail. Since it's free, there's no downside to checking more often if you're concerned about something specific.
